Note from the Editor

Today a year ago a dream was born.

I spent the majority of 2014-2015 brainstorming, researching, unpacking the world of blogging. On January 4, 2016, I took the plunge and launched This Wondrous Life.

Today. Exactly today, TWL turns one. What a year it has been! Our launch year started out with bang. There was fresh content every week. There was a twitter, Instagram, and FB account. It was on and popping! February-August, we got realistic and honed in a little bit more on what we wanted to have happen content wise. We got intentional in creating monthly themes and tailoring content around that. We had our first ever team-up giveaway over the summer with Pure Bliss Apparel. Then September hit. For me, I fell into a lull. I knew it was crucial to do a pulse check with those who followed This Wondrous Life, the ones who have subscribed to the site and invested time in reading the content, commenting, reading emails and all that. By the end of September, I had a better grid of what the readership was desiring.

October-November became that time of re-dreaming and understanding TWL. If there is anything I’ve learned from this launch year is that the first year you launch something is the year that you are still trying to figure stuff out. I know for me, this first year of TWL was all about honing in on the heart and vision of it. It was overcoming the fear of branding and marketing and giving myself permission to build this dream into something so much more.

So, here we are today. Today, you have found your way into the new world of TWL. With a completely new layout and feel, TWL is venturing into the world of turning a blog into an online magazine and building a brand that we all believe in.

Whether this is your first time here or you’ve been around since day one, I am so excited for you to embark on this new chapter with us!

This month the focus is all about setting ourselves up for success in the new year. This month I want to take time to celebrate the progress and purpose of 2016, get those dreams off of the shelves and into gear for 2017, get practical about making the most of our time, get intentional about having fun on the everyday, and revel in the snapshots of life that have captured.

So, grab your favorite beverage, get cozy, and take in the first issue of This Wondrous Life! We are in for a year of pure gold!

With love and hope for all your dreams,
