A Note: We're Still Here

I noticed the other day that it’s been a month since a post graced this space.

I instantly felt regret and shame for the inconsistency creeping in. If there’s anything they tell you about blogging and creating content is to be consistent and when long spaces of time pass and I’ve shared nothing new, I can feel that shame. But, I didn’t and I don’t linger there.

Instead, I gathered myself and extended grace to myself. Before September began, I knew this month was a month of transition; that the tide was changing. I think it’s safe to say there is always a shift when the seasons change. I’ve seen it true in the lives of some of my closest friends.

September carries the end of summer and the beginning of fall. It carries the end of balmy late nights and brings the cool evenings. Of course, not all at once, but we begin to see the world around us morph into the next season.

As I lean into that truth, I can truly say it has been a month of change and transition.

I had big plans for this month. From doing a mostly meat-free diet to working out all the time to writing tons of posts. Some of that has happened and some has not. Life has literally shifted in some of the best and most challenging ways and I’m figuring out what this new routine and rhythm looks like; dreaming of what I want to gain and give in this next season.

So, I write this to say: I’m still here. This space is still a thing. Thank you for following along with this journey. New content is coming.

How about you? How has the ending of summer been for you? What has this month been like for you?
